*CHRIST RESURRECTION: COMR. ALONGE URGES CHRISTIANS TO REMAIN STEADFAST IN THEIR FAITH IN CHRIST… SUES FOR FERVENT PRAYERS AGAINST CORONA VIRUS*

The Chairman of the Kogi State Chapter of the National Youth Council of Nigeria-NYCN, Comrade Alonge Femi Israel, during the feast of the celebration of Christ’ resurrection;Easter, has urged Christian faithfuls to remain steadfast in the exercise of their christian faith in Christ.
The chairman who also conveyed his seasonal greetings to Christians on the Easter celebration through his Chief Press Secretary Jacob Abraham, further sued for fervent prayers from Christians against the pandemic “Corona Virus”.
“In a time like this considering the trials Jesus Christ went through in the hands on his persecutors before he was finally crucified on the cross of calvary, Christians should emulate the spirit of perseverance and endurance in good faith from Christ Jesus even as his resurrection is being celebrated.”
It is no lie that currently the world is being faced with a global virus claiming lives of innocent humans. Christians must therefore cease this opportunity to pray to God for this pandemic not to last more than it has existed.
“This is a period where our faith is expected to speak for us to Jesus Christ; that he may come to the aid of the world by putting to an end this pandemic.”
Finally, Comrade Alonge advised that amidst the need for the celebration of this festival, it is pertinent that everyone takes caution and not forget to put into practice the social distancing directives.
