EASTER: Do Not Be Despaired By The Pangs Of This Trying Time – Hon. Onoja
The Senior Special Assistant on Security to Kogi state government for Igalamala-Odolu local government, Hon. Onoja Omachonu James, had admonished Christians not to be despaired by the pains brought about by COVID-19.
This was contained in his Easter message made available to journalists, which he noted that “the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ offered great hope to everyone that believed in Him and in the overcoming power of His resurrection, which the season of Easter exemplified”.
He urged the people not to allow their spirits to be dampened by the raging pandemic and the attendant lockdown and restrictions, but to have faith that it will be overcome.
He however advised Christians to abide by guided rules in the course of celebration and to also observe prevalent sanitary rules as social distancing and regular washing of hands.
Hon. Onoja, who said Kogi was lucky not to have any recorded case of COVID-19, attributed it to God’s divine protection and the cooperation of people by observing the rules of behaviour coupled with the proactive stance of the state COVID-19 Squadron Team headed by the state deputy governor, Chief Edward Onoja (CIK).
