*Corona Virus: Edo Youth House Fumigation, NYCN Edo State Spokesman Applauds Edo State Branch of the Nigerian Red Cross Society.*
…urges more stakeholders to extend preventive measures and generous gestures to the Youth Council.
The Public Relations Officer of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Edo State, Comrade Charles Osagie has applauded the effort of the Youth Wing of the Nigerian Red Cross Society, Edo State Branch, for its step in ensuring that the secondary home of Edo youths which is the Youth House is healthy enough to continually welcome the young Edo people on different missions to the secretariat.
In his statement made available to our correspondence, the PRO said at a critical time like this when the Covid-19 a dreaded pandemic that has recorded over a hundred thousand deaths cases across the world and with seven of the cases recorded in Nigeria; to have a group of young volunteers see the social and environmental concerns of the Youth House as their priority, be commended.
According to him, “I was glad when the publicity department of the council informed the NYCN Edo State Executives and other occupants of premises that the voluntary organization is set to carry out the sanitization exercise within the premises of the ever busy Youth House”.
He furthered that “behold in less than 24hours the exercise had been completed with the donation of environmental sanitation tools handed over to the leadership of the NYCN to aid the continuous cleanliness of the premises”.
Comrade Charles, thanked the Nigerian Red Cross Edo State Branch Secretary, Mr. Wilson Ekhomogiazin and it’s Youth Wing Coordinator, Mr. Agho Lucky Uhunoma for leading the team to the demonstration of the Covid 19 preventive measures. He also hailed the Chairman of the NYCN in Edo State, Comrade Osahon Obasuyi for creating strong synergy between the council and its Voluntary Youth Organizations across the state which is producing visible impact.
The spokesman called on all other health and youth stakeholders as well as multinationals, politicians and government to also channel their generosity to the NYCN to enable the apex youth organization effectively join in the campaign against Covid-19.
