KOSIEC PROCEEDS ON EASTER BREAK AMID COVID-19 PANDEMIC LOCKDOWN
Kogi State Independent Electoral Commission met today to further deliberate on the budgetary provision to conduct the forthcoming council polls in the state. The electoral commissioner in charge of budget and planning, Chief (Hon). Funsho Olorunfemi made the submission today during the commission’s meeting held at the Headquarters and the rest other commissioners holistically sat and deliberated over what it entailed to conduct a hitch free, credible and transparent election but the meeting was however adjoined till the week after the Easter Holiday.
The Chairman of the commission, Hon.Mamman Nda Eri expressed happiness over the commitment shown by the rest other commissioners in their assigned responsibilities and wished all Christian faithful a joyous Easter Celebration amid the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown that has made the celebrations of Easter a dampen one this year due to the global pandemic caused by COVID-19, and the resultant lockdown that has been imposed at most of the countries worldwide and urged all to stay safe, maintain social distancing and sanitize the hands.
